Thanks to Cath for opening this for me - I had too many piccies to choose from....... Wimbledon was fab, hot and I was star struck - she was THAT close to me and they were THAT tired. I was too, just avoided the camera!

Day 29

Safely arrived in London on the first day of my WEEK off, I ate in an Italian erstaurant on Earl's Court, waiting for Matt to arrive and Murray to start playing. To say it was roasting hot was not an exaggeration so I declined the traditional English pud on offer and stayed with pasta.

Day 28

So much fun was had today it was just ridiculous! Sun, water, victory snatched from in front of us, the Mossley Hill Knockout Knights were awesome!!!!! Oh, and how can I not make some mention of the dance off?

Day 27

A very lazy day of sofa buying followed by tennis watching. Followed by a crisp glass of wine or two at Cath and Alice's. Alice scared all of us by wielding an axe......

Friday, 26 June 2009

Day 26

A manic Friday at work followed by a great evening with Vikki and Bethan. Superlambananas seemed to be order of the day. One outside a new(ish) place called Peacock and the other tucked away in Heebie Jeebies.

Day 25

What I have learnt about Bessie Braddock.

Today's picture will follow later, in the meantime here is an answer to your comment Alice, thought I would share with everyone.

Bessie joined then left the communist party and was an ambulance assistant during the war. I mention these first because my Grannie also did both of this things and my dad tells me that Bessie was one of her heroine's.
Back to Bessie - MP and 'ardent' socialist in Liverpool working on maternity, child welfare, youth crime and fashion rights for the 'larger woman', she also got the red lion on British eggs. Quite a good range and in 2003 voted the 8th in a BBC poll of Greatest Merseysiders.........

And here is my picture - a late evening stroll down to Otterspool from where it really didn't llok like we were looking back at Liverpool.

Day 24

Lots of flowers on the clematis in my yard - very pretty.

Tuesday, 23 June 2009

Day 23

I thought I would take the opportunity as I bought my lunch today to be the first of us bloggers to snap up Bessie Braddock. Quite an impressive political history I have learnt.

Monday, 22 June 2009

Day 22

A break from the norm today - no quiz but a little bit of Freddie. Much fun and a very tasty picnic was had as well as everyone meeting someone else they knew.

Sunday, 21 June 2009

Day 21

Matt being manly. Will the door close and will we manage to put it back on?

Saturday, 20 June 2009

Day 20

An evening spent demonstrating my bowling skills (I know. I was surprised I had any too). Then teh boys showed us their skills on the dance machine.

Friday, 19 June 2009

Day 19

While I wasn't the lucky person who delivered to Wimbledon and had a sneak preview, it was quite a swanky part of London!

Thursday, 18 June 2009

Day 18

An evening stroll past the palace and down the mall to a pub off Trafalgar Square. Not a bad Thursday evening at all!

Wednesday, 17 June 2009

Day 17

Esther Docker and Lucy Day came over for tea. Homegrown Shropshire strawberries and half fat (why?) creme fraiche were much enjoyed.

Tuesday, 16 June 2009

Day 16

I had a trip to Birmingham with work today. Went past the Mailbox and thought of our fun weekend but thought I'd take a picture from the inside of the Bull Ring.

Monday, 15 June 2009

Day 15

A sunny morning and we headed off to visit Sudley House and it's tea room. Followed by a quick shop and now I'm just looking forward to continuing our winning streak......

Sunday, 14 June 2009

Day 14

Lunch in Liverpool One after a leisurely start to the day. Joined by dad and Paula and we then had another tasty barbeque in number 55 accompanied by reading of the Observer.

Day 4

I saw a rabbit this evening as I was leaving work - very Watership Down.

Wednesday, 3 June 2009

Day 3

This is the time I have just arrived home from work. (Looks not quite as readable as on my camera - the clock says 23:52). My day - to Crewe for my normal day of work, home for tea, off to committee for a few laughs to make going back in to work in Liverpool for a couple of hours to catch the night shift manager vaguely doable.

Tuesday, 2 June 2009

Day 2

I've had an altogether more indoor day today, cleaning up the debris that has accumulated in my house, ironing and working. This is the view from my computer - even better now I've figured out how to open the window in this room so I have a breeze!

Monday, 1 June 2009

Day 1

I spent a happy hour in the park again this evening before participating in the Fulwood Arms quiz. Despite a belated start, our team got 53/60 and were only pipped at the post by a team who used a joker because they came second last week. Well done one and all, game heads truly were on!
