Day 30

Ta la. London baby today - hard work and very sore feet. As Selfridge's was 100m from the hotel, decided to walk through the foodhall before going to dinner. If I'd been on my own, would have bought tea from here! Though I wouldn't have chosen the egg white (in cartons - why?), or the billtong. I've now seen a different shop each time I've been down to London recently selling billtong - how many South Africans are there in the capital?

Day 29

It's easy to become hooked, however it might have been more beneficial to practice before Saturday night not afterwards......

Monday, 28 September 2009

Day 28

Nothing ever really happens on a Monday apart from going back to work. However this made me chuckle. Bottle top left behind after the strictly inaugaral party - stake your claim to it here if it's yours!

Sunday, 27 September 2009

Day 27

An incredibly lazy Sunday though a bit productive too with some sorting done. Rounded off by a satisfying tea - empty plate and a glass of wine.

Saturday, 26 September 2009

Day 26

Slaughtered is my word chosen for what happened to us on the hockey pitch today. Hmm. Oo, and more goals conceded in one game than in the whole of last season..... Anyhow, we had a wonderful evening in our get up at the secret location playing poker and drinking cocktails for a belated celebration of Townie's birthday.

Friday, 25 September 2009

Day 25

Friday at work as per usual then a lazy early evening - on my own so thought I'd spoil myself with a tasty, tasty tea. Joined Cath and Alice for some Strictly fun after that and took my laptop just because I could and I'm impressed with the wi-fi technology still. It was a night for practicing poker on facebook though when Townie joined us on the table I did flinch slightly wondering if she'd wonder why there were three of us on there already. But no, she didn't.

Thursday, 24 September 2009

Day 24

There was a reason for the delay of several days which was keeping schtum on what I'd been up to! Thursday evening was broken up by a visit to the secret location (Sara Layt's house) to do some decorating ahead of Sat night - it's a wonder what the internet can provide!

Wednesday, 23 September 2009

Day 23

I did a round trip today to the capital. It's amazing how many people think you can give directions when you have a high viz jacket on - we are the trusted brand.... Had to disappoint every time though!
I was snapping various statues as we were delivering near Victoria station so had to explain all to the person I was with. She got keen too so when we saw this out of the window of the van she pointed it out for me and told me to take it. Just missed the Chelsea Pensioner though - the depatch rider got in the way....... Also missed the school with kids leaving it in straw hats - they had a row of about 20 scooters hooked on the railings - so cute!

Tuesday, 22 September 2009

Day 22

Monotonous day today followed by hockey training. Here's what I looked like after my shower.

Monday, 21 September 2009

Day 21

A long day in the office followed by a surprisingly productive evening of washing up, ironing and organising membership forms. Topped off when we watched the strangest man ever run a marathon in shorts in the Arctic. This is just one of the piles of books in my house that I still have to plough my way through.

Sunday, 20 September 2009

Day 20

I was woken to hear the disappointing fact that Sue Barker had vacated Liverpool for the sunnier climbs of Newcastle and the Great North Run. However, our 'Sue B Rocks/Miss You' t-shirts pulled in the camera anyway! Fab day at the tennis, Murray was great and our lad Dan almost made a match of it. Flags, clappers and dancing the day away!

Saturday, 19 September 2009

Day 19

Hockey trials were today, though my leg meant I couldn't race Vikki for the ball properly. After a drink at the club we raced off and ate french food before coming home to catch most of Strictly. Poor old Martina and Mathew.

Day 18

Right, my blog has all been a bit random according to Sallie so here is a more detailed version of my Friday, nothing very cerebral though. I spent my working day delivering in St Helens making sure I'd had a coffee to start my day from Costa - did not want to end up resorting to the Klix coffee machine. Home earlyish but chasing info for work so time at home spent making phone calls and generally getting frustrated and annoyed. Did manage to sit in the sun though and be pleased that the neighbour was no longer shouting out Oscar at random intervals - they have lost their cat... I am so sad......

The evening mellowed out as I played on my swanky new laptop and relaxed on my lovely new sofa. I was then joined by a gaggle of friends to eat pizza, make merry and enjoy this year's first episode of Strictly - need I say more. Well sorry, I will. Bruce - what is he about? Oops - can I see through the white dress? Aleisha is no Arlene. Satisfied sigh, Craig hasn't changed then. Look at that incredibly sexy bit of argentinian tango. All is well, strictly is back on tv.

And then ........... the world of skype meant we could round the night off with a chat with the far side of the world.

It's the weekend - whoop!!

Day 17

Neither Julie or Julia would be particularly proud of this offering but it served a purpose.

Wednesday, 16 September 2009

Day 16

Now just take a look at this!!! How comfy will I be on Friday night?!?!?!

Tuesday, 15 September 2009

Day 15

Imagine my mortification this morning when I realised I hadn't taken a picture yesterday, let alone open a page. Why, after 200 postings?!?
Anyhow, a brief trip to training afer physio meant I got to go home to a tasty homecooked meal.

Sunday, 13 September 2009

Day 13

Sore muscles are order of the day at number 55 with two pulled quads making themselves noticed on my body and Matt starting to feel the effects of the 60miles he's cycled today.

Saturday, 12 September 2009

Day 12

This is my 201st posting!
This is the huge pile of weeds and rubbish I generated whilst sunbathing in my yard this afternoon. I have a tan apparently! So say the TWs who have kindly had me for tea.

Friday, 11 September 2009

Day 11

This is the spider preventing me from having a shower. Good job Matt is getting here soon.......

Thursday, 10 September 2009

Day 10

I had a jolly trip to Nine Elms and then got shipped across to Wimbledon. A long day out of the office.

Wednesday, 9 September 2009

Day 9

Concentrating hard as I work out my new laptop - very, very exciting indeed!

Tuesday, 8 September 2009

Day 8

I've been travelling again - the Maldives. Anyone care to translate?!?!

Monday, 7 September 2009

Day 7

Technology was order of the day in my house. I am now wireless and this replacement DVD player arrived after my old one broke. Another bargain from Amazon!

Sunday, 6 September 2009

Day 6

This is what I was going to have for my tea (well not all of it), until I ate two pieces of cake. Left over curry from Friday ended up being order of the day!

Saturday, 5 September 2009

Day 5

A very satisfying first friendly of the season, though hitting the post did not thrill me. Followed by a supportive team effort watching the unlucky new player Rachel change her flat tyre.

Friday, 4 September 2009

Day 4

Cinema refreshments - yum!

Thursday, 3 September 2009

Day 3

It was cold in work in Preston today so I didn't once remove my scarf until I was safely home where I was sorely tempted to actually turn the heating off. Will power held out though.

Wednesday, 2 September 2009

Day 2

The Mossley Hill slug checking out the club after committee and Townie completing her elzzup. Oo - there's a Wally in it too!

Tuesday, 1 September 2009

Day 1

1st September - a new season of training starts. Miracle of miracles, despite battering down with rain at various points of the day it was dry between half seven and nine.
