Day 31

I was up crazy early for a Saturday but made the most of the olng day. Work followed by shopping followed by gym followed by more shopping followed by collapse. Then a meal and a tipping of the hat to the Guardian.

Day 30

No picture to be posted yet - thought I'd build some suspense instead. Right, to catch up. Lucy and I had a very productive Friday evening and it is surprising what injuries you can get from a sewing needle.

Day 29

Thursday on the other hand was a day for the discovery of Liverpool city centre and going up some of the towers on Old Hall Street. Followed by an evening of culture - mine and Matt's first visit to the Playhouse for a good and topical play.

Day 28

I spent a lovely evening eating cake with Cath, Lucy and Beth. All five were tasty, though the honey cake was my favourite and by the time I got to the fifth, despite it being chocolate, I couldn't even manage to finish it! I even liked some of the tea and bought some. My mum would be proud.

Day 27

A Tuesday of no training but a fairly hectic day nonetheless so was nice to just chill out for a bit. Nothing spectacular took my eye to take a picture of so here is a picture of the next Lovefilm I have to watch. Need to be in the mood for this one I think.

Day 26

Time for a bit of a catch up - opened the pages this week but never quite got round to posting the pictures.... Was busy serving the community of Huyton until far too late on Monday night but still managed to cook and have an entertaining evening.

Sunday, 25 October 2009

Day 25

Started with culture today - tried for the Contemporary Urban Centre but the gallery staff hadn't arrived yet so headed down to the Tate. This head was part of a sculpture exhibition. Out of the window also spied navy helicopters showing off. On the walk back to the car spotted the crushed top of a block of flats - presumably where the crane struck a while ago.

Saturday, 24 October 2009

Day 24

Had a late and unfortunate change of weekend plan - the bug has reached Shropshire too. I decided that not playing hockey is incredibly bad for the bank balance. Food at the Italian Fish Club - can recommend it, followed by a film. A bit gory but entertaining.

Friday, 23 October 2009

Day 23

After an incredibly unproductive and highly charged day I went for drinks on the Lane. Can you identify who was there and who had which drink?

Thursday, 22 October 2009

Day 22

Stayed local on Thursday and decided to treat myself at the end of the day with some entertainment.

Wednesday, 21 October 2009

Day 21

Well it was off to Streatham to do my duty today. Drove through Brixton and past Lambeth Town Hall on the way. I just wanted to do the walk.

Tuesday, 20 October 2009

Day 20

I headed to Manchester today for my second interview and then took advantage of being in the city to meet Matt for lunch. Returning home after training I found him playing golf on wii sports resort in a snazzy new shirt.

Monday, 19 October 2009

Day 19

Normally Monday's are quite hard on the photo front - back in the office etc, etc. However whilst walking through the station to buy some lunch I spied this friendly chap! He is present to celebrate the fact that Liverpool is going to the World Expo next year in Shanghai. I remember seeing something when I was in Shanghai last year about it going on but afraid to say I didn't recognise the mascot ;-).

Sunday, 18 October 2009

Day 18

A day of relaxation - tidying, planting, driving practice, revising, paper reading, book shopping and eating. Rounded off by this vision of domesticity - does not happen very often I can assure you.

Saturday, 17 October 2009

Day 17

A long day outdoors starting at nine doing some painting and finished watching the 2s play hockey about half five. Busy! Fairly tiring too so wound up with a relaxing evening watching the delayed Strictly and watching in complete awe as Flavia and Vincent wowed the nation. Then I lost at Trivial Pursuit.

Friday, 16 October 2009

Day 16

A run of the mill Friday followed by the most bizarre quiz at Rachel's school that I have ever been too...... Gutted I didn't have the courage of my convictions recognising Bruce Forsyth. This one captured the key players in our team, Tanya and I were more observers though we sang and danced with the best of them!

Day 15

Lovely meal out after work to thoroughly relax after my stressful morning of interview. Spotted these in a shop window on the walk back - penguin mania is obviously catching on!

Wednesday, 14 October 2009

Day 14

Spent about ten minutes reading this beore sleep to try to switch my brain off!

Tuesday, 13 October 2009

Day 13

And today it was Wandsworth. Tonight I decided to immortalise my knee after its Carlisle traumas. Good colour!!!!

Monday, 12 October 2009

Day 12

Today I kept the world ticking over in Hadfield, Derbyshire. A much needed kip when I got home and this is the debris created by Esther Docker's cooking that later collapsed. Tasty.

Sunday, 11 October 2009

Day 11

Today was spent covering this table with paper and organising it carefully. Very productive and semi-satisfying. Hope it pays off! A welcome coffee break was had and then Matt and I tried to try out 62CastleSt. It's shut on Sunday. A reasonable meal was had in the Living Room instead.

Saturday, 10 October 2009

Day 10

We went a ridiculously long way to play hockey today, though it was worth it in the end! First victory of the season and hard fought. Taken out by the keeper and then hit by a flying ball in the space of 5mins I have a rather large and slightly bloody left knee to show for it. Now for an evening of strictly and not moving from the sofa!

Day 9

I appear to have forgotten to open a page yesterday.......A day at the office followed by a lovely evening. Risotto went down a treat!

Thursday, 8 October 2009

Day 8

I now have some books in my house that add to the already eclectic mix!

Wednesday, 7 October 2009

Day 7

I rather apprehensively ate a meal of pasta and trout before committee tonight.

Monday, 5 October 2009

Day 5

An odd combination but it works!

Sunday, 4 October 2009

Day 4

I had a super lazy day today, starting off by watching last night's Strictly on iPlayer. Sorting, tidying, washing, polishing shoes, and started sifting through interview stuff. Thought I would try an artistic picture but my hand was a bit shaky to capture a perfect close-up so had to step back a bit!

Saturday, 3 October 2009

Day 3

After a wet day outdoors playing hockey it was time for Frog Night! Our syndicate managed to

get three in the final - look at the concentration going on here. Congrats to the victorious Townie!

Friday, 2 October 2009

Day 2

I crumbled. Heating was on during my exceptionally chilled Friday evening.

Thursday, 1 October 2009

Day 1

Same walk, loads busier and now even sorer feet. Though happily tucked up on my ever comfy sofa. This was one of many sunflowers own one of the roads we were on - it was sunny today in London - it's all cold back home!
