Day 30

Unfortunately I have felt fairly lousy today. Fortunately though most of it kicked it after I'd given Party Duck the opportunity to enjoy her liberty from O'Grady by lunching at Amber.

Day 29

A cheat, but as not everyone made it to Heebies, thought you deserved to see some of the images. The remainder of the day was largely spent vegetating.

Day 28

I'm not really sure where to start with the events of Saturday. It began with a hockey match on a sunny yet cold day. Despite us losing 9-1 I was not the only member of our team to score unfortunately. Interspersed with a few more WANTED posters - was good that the search for Turkey O'Grady was quite so widespread.
An afternoon of anticipation was broken by the viewing of the MOST amazing film I have ever seen. I still can't quite believe it.
A fab evening was spent eating on a very shiny and large table, being finally reunited with Party duck, being embarrassed with some photos, having to cut into the incredible duck cake, and then going dancing. All in the company of some of my favourite people.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the amount of leg on show. I've never seen so much amongst us lot apart from on a hockey pitch!!!

Day 27

It's Friday, and I'm now off work for a week. Yippee!! In the pub by four I had a busy afternoon ;-), then caught up with Dan before heading for some food at the Gulshan. The darlings joined us and I was then surprised to find some 'missing' posters plastered all over my house. I sense there may be more to come......

Day 25

Even though I already have a picture of a couple of penguins, I couldn't resist this one I spied yesterday. A giant true scouse penguin!

Tuesday, 24 November 2009

Day 24

On my drive around Liverpool this afternoon emptying post boxes I finally spied the bottom of the big wheel - Chavasse Park. I saw a lot more penguins too!

Here is also a photo of some beautiful flowers Matt bought for me yesterday.

Monday, 23 November 2009

Day 23

Spotted these penguins as I walked through the station - they are starting to get everywhere!

Sunday, 22 November 2009

Day 21

Oh good lord. Tanya, call it karma if you like. I opened a page for your blog and despite taking a photo, forgot to open a page for myself. A coffee break was required on the drive back from hockey and then tea was always going to be the easy option.

Day 22

The William's did Sunday lunch - very good. It was followed by an afternoon of Wii sport. Think this was swordplay, I think Vikki won!

Friday, 20 November 2009

Day 20

This may be a cheat because I think I probably took this after midnight. Was out in Manchester with the girls from work (after having met the Lord Mayor in the afternoon) and had a mighty fine time. Then I looked up at some point and saw this Marvin wannabe. Wasn't on the same scale though - can't touch Marvin!!

Day 19

Have I skipped a few months without realising?

Wednesday, 18 November 2009

Day 18

I have had a very pleasant day. Not too stressful at work and it didn't rain on me when I went out at lunch. Post work cooked a yummy lasagne which Sara, Tanya and I devoured. The doubles partnership beat Federer and Sharapova at Wimbledon and then Spooks was watched. Just picked up Mr Rung after his trek back from Glasgee. This is the only open lily so far from some we bought at the weekend. Oh, and the only dampner on the day, it appears that Santa officially arrived in Liverpool today AND there's a big wheel somewhere in town......

Tuesday, 17 November 2009

Day 17

I spent a fair bit of today waiting for the phone to ring and was very pleased when it finally did. I officially have a job! And it's the one I wanted!!

Monday, 16 November 2009

Day 16

Possibly a bit of a cheat as a photo of a photo but I thought this was amazing. Centre spread in The Guardian.

Sunday, 15 November 2009

Day 15

I've been cheeky. My next door neighbour is ripping out the inside of his house by the looks of it. I pinched this from the skip outside. Think it was time for a change......

Saturday, 14 November 2009

Day 14

Despite a promising start to the day weather wise, it decided to pee it down on us playing hockey for the second Saturday in a row. A much improved and far more enjoyable game - we had 'em on the ropes and running scared......
This is just a big heap of wet clothing that is currently forming a puddle on the floor. Now spare bear has been returned it is time to enjoy Strictly without Bruce, a beer or two, fish and chips and good company.

Friday, 13 November 2009

Day 13

Given my short blog for yesterday, here is a longer one! I had a highly uneventful day in Warrington and decided to head home via Ikea.

Seduced I was by these colourful kitchen items and then as a change from Damages we went for a couple of episodes of The Inbetweeners.

Thursday, 12 November 2009

Day 12

Damages = hooked.

Wednesday, 11 November 2009

Day 11

I spent a very entertaining late evening laughing at the Lavender Girls and Townie. (For those who don't know, laughing at them was a good thing - they were doing stand up.... ;-) )

Tuesday, 10 November 2009

Day 10

I had a good look through my diary and a couple of conversations with Leon at STA travel. Flights to New Zealand are almost sorted!

Monday, 9 November 2009

Day 9

Mm, cappucino cheese cake on offer from M&S.

Sunday, 8 November 2009

Day 8

Such a lazy Sunday catching up with friends and eating cake. Lovely. Here's the birthday girl snuggled up under her newly acquired duck blanket.

Friday, 6 November 2009

Day 6

This is me feeling supremely unimpressed with life. Cantrill Farm in the rain is where everyone would like to spend their Friday afternoon I am sure. At least we're going out tonight to celebrate Matt's birthday tonight!

Thursday, 5 November 2009

Wednesday, 4 November 2009

Day 4

There had been a master plan to meet up and go and see the fireworks in Sefton Park. It never quite materialised thanks to a range of factors. The pub alternative was rammed so ended up at mine watching the football instead!

Tuesday, 3 November 2009

Day 3

A treat at work - no coffee in the building so I had to resort to walking down to Costa for the daily kick start. Normally I avoid like the plague anything Christmas related until after my birthday but couldn't resist this chocolate yule log!

Monday, 2 November 2009

Day 2

Thought I would post for today a picture of the cyclamen I have. I don't have a great track record with house plants so we'll see how it goes.

Sunday, 1 November 2009

Day 1

A whole new month again, doesn't time fly. It was raining so decided on an indoor day. I bought these curtains a couple of weeks ago but today got around to putting up a new curtain rail and hanging them properly. Matt finished the bathroom door too so I now have closing curtains and bathroom door!
