Day 28

This is my last blog entry and not sure what to post yet as a picture given the enormity of the occasion. An iconic view of Liverpool (think I've documented most of them)? Something in the house? The yard? Won't be going on another outing today after our expedition to B&Q and Tesco and didn't fancy capturing these.

So ended up with an update of the plant I haven't killed yet.......

Day 27

A very enjoyable game of hockey, very satisifed they didn't get the five goals in the first five minutes that they were so vocal about.... However, I twisted my back and though I managed the game, the after effects are not pleasant. Went to FACT and watched Micmacs as a distraction. Whilst there spotted this advert - can't wait, I will be there!!!!

Day 26

The house is now all safe and secure thanks to Mr SAS and his wireless alarm! Unless I leave the front door open like this ;-).

Day 24

Last day in London and ended on a good one. Best weather of the few days

and spied this mobile recycling vehicle on our wanders. Waiting for Godot was the culture of the day (Matt was most excited about my celebrity spot of Felicity Kendal being in the audience too). Indian dinner before a late train home and caught some of the Birtish curling.

Day 22

First full day in the city - art, walking and comedy with Dan. We also appear bizarrely tanned.

Day 23

We managed to miss Chinese New Year on Sunday thanks to ridiculous hangovers but the decs were still up. Dr Todd was excellent The Little Dog Laughed.

Day 16

Left Manchester early to pick up the car - all done and now have a green certificate. Took this on the way past, on my way home to an evening of pancakes and nursing a headache.

Day 15

I got this lovely certificate on Saturday and spent Sunday and today sorting it out. Tyres on Sunday and then fixing up a courtesy car. Raced home after work to get there in time before the garage closed to pick up the car so I have it for Tuesday- was thoroughly done in.

Excellent wrapping paper. Have rubber ducks been everywhere and on everything for a while or is it that we only notice them all now? Discuss.

A very tasty home-cooked meal accompanied by some birthday champagne - congratulations Mr Rung on the driving.

Day 8

Very nice indeed to have a random Monday off work. Decorating, sorting, lunch and tea out. A visit to Lucy Day's and I'm liking the wallpaper very much.

Day 7

A lazy start to the morning, me, Matt, Mark and Alexis struggled to find an eatery to kick off the day. As we wandered I spied a shop dedicated entirely to sewing machines - there can't be many of those about these days!

Day 5

An evening home alone on Friday so I treated myself to a meringue on offer from M&S. Yum! (And I know how my followers like to know what I eat for my tea....)

As I left work I thought I would capture proof of the snow in case it wasn't around later/had never made it to Liverpool. Looking at the roads here, it didn't stick around even if it did make it!

Day 1

This is the first day of the last month of my blog, so I'll try to make it a good one! Was having photo issues and then leaned down to change something on the computer and managed completely in error to start up the in-laptop camera and took one of us!!!!

To update on the tile scenario - they were slightly different and had been in our sitting room at home where I grew up for the first 18 or so years of my life. How did I forget them?!?!?!

Day 31

Wasn't sure how long the hail would last so took a piccie as proof when I got in this morning. Up early (very hard work) I was looking forward to seeing a victorious Andy Murray but it wasn't to be. Next time.......

Day 30

An evening for celebration. Early start to watch what I'd hoped would be a great comeback story - Justine tried but unfortunately Serena out-powered her. Over to Formby via the hail covered pavements of Allerton for a hard fought match.
Pitch still partly frozen, the ball was bouncing a bit as it skidded over the hard surface during warm up. The team came together to psyche ourselves up and were exuding confidence as the game began. Pinging the ball about our optimism proved well founded as I slotted the first goal home. Formby were provoked and came back at us hard and had equalised by half time. The second half was tense and tight, with relief flooding through the team as SaraLayt powered a short corner into the goal. How long to go - nine minutes?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Tense, tough and tight there were clearances off the line and over the fence. Mossley were sublime and ended victorious. Whoop!

Day 29

No picture today - instead an advert for the company I saw on a side of a lorry on my way back from Rugby. Made me chuckle as I steamed up the M6.

Day 28

Two day course in Rugby with work.......These are the tiles in the bedroom. They seem to bring back a childhood memory of the same tiles, just in green, though I can't remember where from. Relying on mum to spot this and tell me where it was!!!

Day 26

This is a bit of a cheat as I didn't actually take this photo on Tuesday as my phone was hidden away in the car during training to capture the true essence of the moment. Loved watching the 2s training with their hands taped to their sticks - hope it pays off on Saturday.

Day 25

Collapsing on to the sofa was a perfect way to round off Monday. Though I did manage to pop into the gym to try to jog off my stiffness - didn't work at all.

Day 24

These are my spa treating companions. We had an absolutely lovely day sitting down and being pampered in comfy dressing gowns. Successfully having lost track of the boys, we rounded the day off with a glass of red and some food. Silky smooth I am.

Day 23

Another satisfying hockey match - two in a row - it's becoming a bit of a habit?!?! Very cold as a spectator to the twos though. The evening was spent on the lane, a yummy curry and then a few bevvies in excellent company.

Day 21

No photograph was taken at all yesterday. Frazzled doesn't even come close. Up nice and early and in to work, I spent a total of five and a half hours in my car. An hour visiting offices, including the dark satanic mills of Rochdale during work time. But the majority experiencing nightmares on the M60/602/62 getting to and from work in the first place. Not a happy time so at least I had company in the car. Completely zonked evening spent doing nothing, though given this busy week, we've barely seen the inside of the house anyway!

Day 20

Another mid-week event for us - a delayed birthday present, we had seats in the Anfield Road end to see Liverpool maybe get back on track. We were treated to some extremely tuneful singing and some delightful chanting as Liverpool just about managed to score two goals. Missed a couple of sitters mind!

Day 19

Some people manage to make paper aeroplanes during the day. (That wouldn't be me).

Day 18

We had a crazy drive back from Manchester under some significant time constraints to make it back in time for our first exciting adventure of the week. Strictly was a true spectacle, Bruno talked soooooooo dirty, the contestants were very glad Arlene was back, and Austin and Lilia's tango was truly Fab-u-lous. Though Mark's Argentine tango and salsa were pretty damn good too. Oo, and, we got to see a group Charleston - a-ma-zing. Guess who this contestant is?

Day 17

This photo is to celebrate the first day with even a smidgeon of sun, blue sky and even a hint of warmth in it, so far this year.

Day 16

We managed to strip - the rest of the wallpaper today, a big challenge, very successfully met. A very funny evening out at the Royal Court, rolling with Christmas Scouse laughter.

Day 15

The end of a long long week of driving and working, ahead of a week of lots of fun. Rounded it off by seeing Cath and Alice. 100 pin bowling would be Alice's game of choice?

And here's a Christmas present, having failed to sort a photo on Wednesday. Thought I would share it - the shower cap was for Xmas, from Holyrood though, not Buck Palace. The toilet bag, a birthday present.

A busy day of the gym and some further organisation. Rounded off by a top celebration of Lucy Day's 30th Birthday. Fun, fun, fun and laughter.

Day 8

A long, long journey to and from Manchester - got as low as -11.5 on the temperature guage. Went for the easy tea option and this was just the starter!!!!!

Day 7

Not a very good quality shot, had to rely on my phone. Worked from the Liverpool office today and was kept gripped by the live test match coverage. Phew. Spent the evening laughing a lot and making mischief.

Day 6

My second day working from home. In the afternoon I escaped the house and joined Beth, Lucy and Lizel for some sledging. More striking shots to be had in the park and the evening light. Dinner was at Sara Layt's where we were served a yummy chorizo concoction.
